All praise is due to Allāh, and salutations and blessings upon our master, the Messenger of AllāhTo proceed: This is a compendium of fiqh according to the school of the great Imām, Abū Ḥanīfah (may Allāh, the Exalted, have mercy upon him) which the legally responsible person cannot forgo if unable to study that which is more detailed. I have summarised it from the books of our scholars when I realised the necessity for such a brief text, I have named it 'The Gift for the Seeker' (Itḥāf al-Ṭālib). I ask Allāh, glorified be He, to benefit by it all who desire to seek knowledge and teach it.
