- The Antichrist will need time to establish his authority on a worldwide scale.
- A world government and religious system need time to form.
- Skeptical of previous peace plans, Israel will need time to accept the confirmation of a previously rejected covenant.
- Depending on the timing of the Magog War, the Antichrist may use it to assure Israel of peace and security.
- It may be that the martyrs of Revelation 6 are killed during this "Gap" because they ask the question: "How long." If this occurred during the Tribulation, they would not need to ask
- Also, time will be needed to build the temple.
