A few days before the 4^th of July, the town hosts the Red, White, and Blue Pancake Breakfast, complete with pony rides and band music. The night before the big day, a concert and fireworks on Singing Beach is held every even year, and a concert at Masconomo Park is held every odd year.On the Fourth of July, the parade begins with antique cars and bright red fire engines. Festive crowds then watch the Second and Tenth Massachusetts Regiments march by. A giant pink elephant, a spouting whale named Doodles, marching bands, steel drums, and jazz bands make the revelers go wild every year. And to everyone's delight, you can see Penny Farthing bike riders high up on their seats waving to the crowds.
