It includes stories of human trafficking, drugs, civil unrest, and civil rights and how the girls prevail until they don't.
Detectives Dillon and Valentine, along with police help, factor into the story. Corruption in the police department is rampant.
A surprise ending leads into the next installment of the trilogy.
