Flow is achieved in an organization when employees and team members are free to interact, adapt, learn, and evolve in a way that allows them address threats (internal and external) uninterrupted by inhibiting constraints. Flow is best described in The Flow System as the seamless transition, from ideation to delivery, through the interconnectivity of complexity thinking, distributed leadership, and team science. Each of the three helixes must be utilized before an organization can achieve flow. Addressing only one of the helixes will result in suboptimal performance, all three of the helixes must be utilized.
