Author Biography

Lillian LeBlanc is a Boston native who learned to fly in 1978, at the Plymouth, Massachusetts airport. She and her husband, Roger flew recreationally from the airport in Norwood, Massachusetts for many years while living and working in the Boston area. Along with their daughter, Yvonne, who experienced her first flight at two weeks of age, they traveled by small plane to many areas along the eastern seaboard, including several flights to the Bahama out-islands. In 1991, the couple relocated to Maine where they launched an air charter and aviation service company. After 10 successful years in business, the LeBlancs sold the company and flew their turboprop King Air B-100 as described through the stories of The Flight Level Chronicles. Ms. LeBlanc holds a commercial pilot license with single-engine land, multi-engine land, and instrument ratings. Her flight experience includes operating more than 20 different models of aircraft including a North American T-28B. She is also privileged to have flown in both a B-17 Flying Fortress and a B-24 Liberator. Ms. LeBlanc has been a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) since 1978 and has served as a volunteer in the organization's Airport Support Network. She enjoys writing and has also had a long career in human resources. Ms. LeBlanc maintains a blog, Flight Level Leadership, which uses aviation principles to create leadership lessons. She has served for several years as a volunteer article reviewer for World at Work, an association for human resources professionals.
