Not only did Father have some strange power over the community, he also came with a connection to the strange rose that only came out at night. The rose was scattered throughout the town, especially in the cemetery before trailing up into the mountainside.
It was also a rose seemingly found nowhere else in the world.
The Fathers connection to the child ran through a silver-haired woman who seemed to be the wild card in Fathers deck of life. At times she seemed good while at evil.
Still she seemed to be the only chance for a child connected to the grandfather by the beyond-the-grave love of a father.
