Product Description

by Kenneth N. Myers (Author)

What does the Bible really say about the future? Should we expect horrible things or hopeful things? Does the world end with a bang, or with a whimper - or neither? Is it possible that the popular preachers and novelists have completely missed the point? In The End Is Near...Or Maybe Not Kenneth Myers offers a sensible, biblical, and historic alternative to the sensationalism of our day. Eye-opening, engaging and easy to read, this book replaces pessimism with optimism and dread with anticipation. It offers a fresh but ancient understanding on things like the Great Tribulation, the Millennium, and just what our future holds.

Author Biography

Growing up a "preacher's kid", Kenneth Myers used to help his father study for "end times" sermons. As a teenager, he had all the charts of doom memorized and well studied. As a young pastor, he had a crisis of faith, and realized that the pessimistic view of the future he had held all his life was wrong. After intense study in the doctrine of "last things," Kenneth embraced an historical, biblical understanding of the future which is full of hope, not despair. Kenneth Myers is a bishop in the Anglican Church, and pastors Christ Church Cathedral in Sherman, Tx. He and his wife Shirley live in Denison, Tx.
