Have you ever woken up from a nightmare and feel relieved that it was only a dream? Imagine having to return to that nightmare every night, and it only gets worse. The horror, it seems, is deliberately perpetrated by a deranged and evil man named Magnus with the help of the gang of Dreamers. Now imagine that this is happening to everyone in the world, causing group psychosis on an unprecedented scale leading to an inevitable apocalypse. The Dreams that Hold us Captive follows Noah and Theo - our protagonists - as they navigate their way through the horrible dream world and the rapidly deteriorating real one in a desperate hope to restore peace among everyone's minds, starting with their own. The novella is an easy and enjoyable read. The plot is enhanced by complex relationships, unexpected twists, and drastic measures while keeping a consistent sense of realism. The adventure is filled with treachery at every turn and will captivate you until the very end.
