The Literary Agenda is a series of short polemical monographs about the importance of literature and of reading in the wider world and about the state of literary education inside schools and universities. Martin Paul Eve is Professor of Literature, Technology and Publishing at Birkbeck College at the University of London. He holds a doctorate from the University of Sussex and is the author or editor of seven other books. Professor Eve is a recipient of the KU Leuven Medal of Honour and the Philip
Leverhulme Prize.
