Product Description

by Glenn McGinnis (Author)

The strange rituals and beliefs of The Khlysty, an extinct Russian sect from the nineteenth century, have been revived by a man who has taken the moniker of Rasputin, the Khlysty's most famous adherent. He is the leader of a doomsday cult that preaches the rebellion of his adherents against the Antichrist in the guise of all forms of government. Earl James, a Texas millionaire, conscripts a Los Angeles private investigator and a reclusive man from the wooded country of eastern Texas, to snatch his daughter from the clutches of Rasputin and the Khlysty cult. Their search begins in the woods of Oregon, where they meet a beautiful reporter intent on exposing the cult, and leads them across the United States to Arizona and northern Louisiana. The self-styled Rasputin teams up with Abdul Hakim Yousef, a member of the extremist Islamic Jihad and a specialist in explosive devices. Together they have hatched a plot that will shake the foundations of the American political system. The trio pursues Rasputin to New Orleans in a race against time to foil his plan to bomb the Republican National Convention in the Superdome. In the stunning conclusion of the story, the legend of Rasputin is once again cast into infamy.
