Dr. Sylvan R. Catwell, an accomplished organist, acted as Deputy Organist to his daughter Joyann at St. Andrew's Parish Church, 2007__2010. He has served as Senior Elder of Ellerton Gospel Hall in the parish of St. George. After working in the Government service for over 43 years, he recently retired as Chief Building Development Officer, having been responsible for building development control in the Ministry of Environment, Water Works and Drainage, Barbados. Dr. Catwell, a Justice of the Peace, is a graduate of the Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Training, Singapore; Codrington College, Barbados; Atlantic Coast Theological Seminary, U.S.A., and Middlesex University, U.K. His previous publications include The Brethren in Barbados__Gospel Hall Assemblies 1889__1994, and a number of articles in the fields of religion and the environment.
