Author Biography
Meet the author, Walter "Kapowski" Klosowski! In addition to writing books like this, Kapowski is also a professional guitarist and public school music educator. He holds a Masters Degree in Music Theory on scholarship with emphasis on classical guitar as well as a Bachelors Degree in Music Theory/Composition and Guitar Performance. He is also a recipient of the Piano Guild USA Sonatina Award as well as three NFSM piano federation competition pins. His book, The Unabridged Circle of Fifths, is the seventh volume in his UNABRIDGED DIATONICS(TM) series. It was written in direct response to the lack of scholarly materials that deal solely with the keys of music on the circle in their entirety. All too often the keys of music receive but a chapter or less in the typical music theory text or dictionary. But simply put, not enough time is spent formally with the keys of music let alone full exploration of the circle itself at the onset of instruction. This music reference is an effort to counter the situation, as The Unabridged Circle of Fifths delineates every music key found on the circle, major, minor, enharmonic or otherwise, while the organization of which keeps things simple to use.
