ROBERT A. WEISGERBER is a Principal Research Scientist at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in Palo Alto, California. For some 20 years he has been engaged in numerous research and development projects that pertain to improving the quality of life for persons with different kinds of disabilities. He has published a number of books, including A Special Educator's Guide to Vocational Training, Training the Handicapped for Productive Employment, and Social Competence and Employability Skills Curriculum. He has also authored a number of reports, articles, and curricula on various aspects of his research.
