Product Description

by Keith F. Fuller (Author)

This book asks what depression is, what causes depression and how do you deal with depression. It seeks to answer these questions from a philosophical perspective, drawing heavily on literature and filmography. The penultimate chapter considers the relevance of chaos theory to depression and so to life in general. The final chapter focuses on the nobility of depression.

Author Biography

The author has worked as an engineer, parish minister (of the liberal Presbyterian persuasion) and high school teacher. After an initial breakdown he worked for a number of years as a professional bottom wiper in aged care hospitals. He has degrees in Engineering, Divinity, Psychology and Philosophy (2). Following a second breakdown he has devoted himself to self care, philosophy and writing. He lives on his own in the port city of Timaru on the Eastern seaboard of New Zealand's South Island. He has two adult daughters and two grandchildren. He no longer has anything to do with the Presbyterian Church.
