Product Description

by Hal Lillywhite (Author)

The Bible, a victim of its own success. Misconceptions abound, many because people think what sounds good just has to come from the Bible, and others by misunderstanding.Did Paul oppose marriage and sex? What was the curse on Adam? Why did Joseph and Mary go to Bethlehem? How many wise men visited the infant Jesus in the stable? The answers to these and other questions may surprise readers. This book does not claim to be definitive, indeed it asks readers specifically not to believe the book but to believe the Bible, what it actually says rather than what people often think it says. It is intended to encourage readers to study carefully and to think about what they study.

Author Biography

Hal Lillywhite was raised on a dairy farm in New Mexico and has since been a missionary, paratrooper, physicist, project manager, mountain rescuer, Sunday School teacher, and most of all a serious though non-professional student of the scriptures. He lives in Oregon with his wife of over 40 years while their children are grown and scattered over much of the world.
