Author Biography
David is the Chief Operating Officer of Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd. (NYSE: AWH). Previously he worked for Chubb Insurance, where he managed an underwriting operation, in addition to overseeing Chubb's corporate lobbying efforts in the state of Florida. David has served as president of PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriting Society), the largest insurance industry association focused on education. He serves on the board of the Mansfield Center in Missoula, MT, which promotes better understanding of Asia and of U.S. relations with Asia. He has presented to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), focusing on expropriation and kidnap/ransom in Asia and the Middle East, and he has spoken and written extensively on the subject of insurance risk transfer. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). David holds a degree in Finance from the University of Montana. He and his wife Brittany have two children, Trent and Ivy.
