About the author Susan's interest in the medical field began at age 13, when her mother, Ruth Sengezer of Santa Cruz California, now with the Lord, also a Nurse needed help when staff wasn't available. Susan became a candy striper and then nurse's aide, EMT on the local ambulance Rolfe, Iowa; a job that included climbing the grain silos of pig farms and taking an occasional slip in the barn, covered in what farmers say, "smells like money." Susan was interested in becoming a Nun; however, she followed a different path, becoming an Evangelist/Missionary that helped build God as the foundation in her life the belt she now wears today. Susan previous member of the Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa where her nursing instructor started the Parish Nurse program at the church. Susan worked in the emergency room from day one out of school becoming a Domestic Violence and Rape advocate, served on the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team. Susan a ray of hope for her congregation on the front lines and knew how to act fast and most of all that God needed to be first and invited into the room. Susan still instrumental in her current hospital, Providence Holy Cross, in recruiting four other Emergency Room Nurses to take the formal Parish Nurse class in the spring of 2009 and is currently serving her hospital in this capacity. Susan is currently juggling her studies in Theology working full time, a mission's trip to Haiti and speaking at local events. Co-Pastor of The Little Blessed Chapel Of Jesus Christ .com, a wedding Ministry where proceeds go to support Jesus Cares Ministries for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles, California, a Ministry God inspired to start as she became a Parish nurse, transforming and changing lives today.
