Product Description

by Dana W. Peterson (Author)

Jeff Nichols is a claims adjuster for a property and casualty insurance company in Des Moines, Iowa. Although more than financially secure thanks to a sizeable inheritance from Jeff's father, he and his wife Janet had decide to not let the money change their lives. Consequently, both kept their same jobs and remained in their same modest home.Jeff is called to Indianapolis to testify in a court case involving one of his company's clients. During this brief trip, circumstances occur that makes him the suspect in a brutal murder. He knows he had nothing to do with the murder. He also knows that, under the circumstances, he will be considered the prime suspect. Until he can find out who is responsible for this hideous crime, he must run But, where can he go?In desperation, he chooses a direction through a series of small, midwestern towns, in hopes he can gain enough time to prove his innocence. His experiences with people he meets, including people who, for some reason, are trying to kill him, makes for a very compelling story.
