Great State of Texas Shell! Local, lovely Lightning Whelk Conch Shells! Collected from our very own Texas Gulf Coast- a true gem. Our local 'free roaming wild' hermit crabs LOVE these shells!
Coveted for their natural Left Handed spiral (sinistral shells), many treasure these beautiful sacred shells. This marine species is native to southeastern North America, south to Florida and the Gulf states.
We hope to have more of our fabulous Lightning Whelks available soon in a variety of sizes.

All of our shells are real & unique. The majority of the shells we sell are intended for crafting purposes & are not specimens (unless otherwise specified); meaning that most will show evidence of their lives in the ocean. There may be natural variations such as but not limited to: growth marks, pinpoint holes, chipped points or edges, calcium build up, etc. WE DO NOT SELL “PERFECT” SHELLS- our shells are natural, beautiful, & imperfect.
