In the end, things are not what they seem and those with a lust for power that would enslave the world with the promise of eternal life are just pawns in a bigger game, as, it turns out, they all are.

Krag Brotby's meandering decades-long sojourn as an enterprise security consultant, lecturer and private investigator has provided an intimate view of the occasionally good, the often bad, and sometimes the worst of those relentlessly driven by power, greed, and ideology. A writer and speaker on matters of musty business and information security for the industry for many years, fiction has provided the opportunity to vent the imagination and explore the inevitable. Along the way, Brotby met his wife of twenty-five years, a psychotherapist with a spiritual vantage point and through that union, gained a front row seat to the ever fascinating and convoluted operation of the psyche. He lives in the high mountains near Lake Tahoe with his wife, a small white lovable Maltese and moody, verbose cat .
