Picking up after the events of "City At War" (collected in TMNT Compendium Vol. 3), Donatello and Splinter recuperate in Northampton while the rest of the Turtles are in New York City with April. Meanwhile, Baxter Stockman wreaks havoc in the desert at a top-secret D.A.R.P.A. facility. Jim Lawson joined Mirage Studios in 1987 and is considered one of the longest running comic book artists to serve on a single property (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Besides his TMNT work, he has self-published many comics, including Paleo: Tales of the Late Cretaceous, Dragonfly, A Walk Through Dinosaurland, Hellride, Dinosaur Head Cat and the Box City Wallops.
