Product Description

by Marcella Peyre-Ferry (Author)

Tea Leaf Reading - A Practical Guide, carefully lays out all the steps needed to successfully develop your skills as a tea leaf reader.Author Marcella Peyre-Ferry sets down all the steps of the tea leaf reading process from selecting the best tea and cup to interpreting the signs you see. Learn how to make a good cup of tea, and then read the leaves for youself or others. A list of common symbols and their possible intrepretations is included for fast reference. Peyre-Ferry even shares a recipe or two to complete the "tea" experienceTea Leaf Reading has been passed down through the centuries as a way to look for what might come to pass in the day ahead. Whether the symbols seen in the leaves are a sign from above, or they are pulled from the subconscious mind, they have the potential to warn of trouble or offer hope to the tea drinker. What was once a regular practice for women of all social levels in most European cultures is now a curiosity. Peyre-Ferry, who is also well versed at divination through tarot cards and horoscopes as well as tea leaves, learned the skill as a girl, when reading the future in a tea cup was a daily activity around the kitchen table for her mother, aunts and grandmother. This book guides the reader through every step in the tea leaf reading process in an easy to follow format that will appeal to anyone interested in this nearly forgotten skill.

Author Biography

Marcella Peyre-Ferry is familiar to newspaper readers in Chester and Lancaster Counties of Pennsylvania for local news coverage and feature stories, plus she is a regular contributor to many equestrian publications nationwide. She is also the author of two earlier books: "Getting Past the Guilt - When a Loved One Has Alzheimer's Dementia"; and "Getting Through the Stuff a Loved One Leaves Behind". Peyre-Ferry's talents with divination through cards, horoscopes and tea leaves goes back to her childhood, when reading the future in a tea cup was a daily activity around the kitchen table for her mother, aunts and grandmother. An avid horseman, skilled in dressage and side-saddle riding, Peyre-Ferry is frequently seen with her husband Gary as members of the Victorian Dance Ensemble and can be found in that era at Civil War balls and demonstrations. On occasion, she can also be found reading tarot cards at Renaissance Faires with her son David entertaining as a sword swallower while sensible son Kevin tends the home farm.
