Product Description

by Ron Furst (Author)

These heart-warming true stories are a collection of Ron Furst's most vivid and favorite memories of his career as the camp director of Camp Hawthorne. For twenty-four seasons on Panther Pond in Raymond, Maine, his job was similar to being the mayor of a small city. While there, he was responsible for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the camp community twenty-four hours a day.

Author Biography

Ron Furst has worked as a summer camp director and storyteller for over forty years. He holds a master's degree in psychological counseling and is a graduate of the Outward Bound school at Hurricane Island, Maine. Ron's first book, The Bait Store and Other Stories, is still available.
