Product Description

by Rita D. Newman Bs Ed (Editor), Nick J. Decandia Cpa (Author)

First Reading Book walks a non-reader, who knows just the alphabet, to a reader, first of short-vowel books, in Section 1 - where we teach all of the short-vowels and consonant sounds, except /q/ - which, as you know, always takes the /u/, so we took that out and put that in Section 2 - Blends, Long-Vowels and Segmenting of Long Words. We also cover punctuation and some sight words in Section 2. In Section 1, we also have Reading Pages, Review Pages and "Phrase Reading Pages" - which help transition students from reading one word on a page to reading sentences.
