Product Description

by David Thurmaier (Editor), Aaron Krerowicz (Author)

Here, for the first time in published form, is an encyclopedic analysis of structure in the music of The Beatles. With a keen eye for detail and ears to match, Beatles scholar Aaron Krerowicz breaks down every Beatles song with the two-fold intent of illustrating the band's sophisticated compositional skill and plotting their artistic evolution by examining in great detail how their music was put together. The volume opens with a comprehensive structural analysis of all 211 tracks recorded and officially released by The Beatles between 1962-1970, and ends with commentary on those analyses. The product is the most exhaustive study of the topic ever made. For the scholar, this catalog will provide a basis for further study and analysis; for the fan, it will offer insight for deeper understanding; for all, it will increase appreciation for The Beatles' extraordinary music.

Author Biography

Professional Beatles scholar Aaron Krerowicz won a research grant to study the band through the University of Hartford in 2011 and since has presented his findings more than 300 times throughout the United States and England.
