Author Biography

Thomas D. Zweifel is a strategy, leadership, and performance management consultant, professor and author. Since 1984 he has worked with top and senior managers in Fortune 500 companies, governments, UN agencies, and the military to design and implement strategies for breakthrough results. In 1997 he became CEO of Swiss Consulting Group, named a "Fast Company" by Fast Company magazine. Since 2000 he has taught leadership at Columbia University and St. Gallen University. Strategies based on his six books, including "Communicate or Die," "Culture Clash," and "The Rabbi and the CEO" are used by 30+ Fortune 500 companies. Born in Paris, Dr. Zweifel was educated in Switzerland and the United States, where he received his Ph.D. in international political economy from New York University. He is on the rosters of ten speaker bureaus and a frequent speaker in corporations and the media such as ABC, Bloomberg, and CNN. In 1996 he realized his dream of breaking three hours in the New York City marathon, and in 1997 was "first finisher among CEO's who ran the New York City marathon." After living in Basel, Berlin, Munich, Mumbai, London, San Francisco, Tokyo and New York from 1962 through 2008, he is now based in Zurich where he lives with his wife and their two daughters. Edward J. Borey is an experienced chairman, CEO and board member who has led growth and turnarounds in global companies from stagnation and losses to profitability, sustainability and self-reliance. He was Chairman and CEO of WatchGuard Technologies, CEO of PSC, and COO of Intermec. Throughout his 37-year career, Ed served in executive positions for Global 1,000 companies. As a finance team member at Lear Siegler, he turned around global department organizations for National Semiconductor and Pitney Bowes, the Retail Division of Monarch Marking, The Graphics Division of Paxar and the Media Division of Intermec. Today Ed serves on the Board of Arotech. Prior public board experience includes WatchGuard, PSC, and MBrane. To give back, Ed serves as a Board Member for the Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and has served on the Snohomish County YMCA Board of Trustees. Ed received his B.S. in Political Science from State University of New York, College at Oswego; a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma; and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He lives in the Seattle area with his wife Susan.
