ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Fariece Altice is a loving mother, grandmother and family matriarch. Born the 12th of 16 children, she says her mother must have run out of names because she was affectionately and simply referred to as "Baby" on her official birth certificate. After praying for a name to give her, unlike any other, her mom settled on Fariece, figuring it would suit her best. A precious gem in her mother's eyes, Opal was the name that came next. "If good things come to those who wait, then my given name was well worth the wait, Fariece exclaims!
