The entire series can be read as standalone books--there are no cliffhangers at the end and each novel features a different cast of characters. All are set in remote and wilderness locations in Vermont and feature different folkloric creatures. These books are "suspense that turn pages, not stomachs" and readers of books by Frank Peretti, Shirley Jackson, and John Saul will enjoy these campy, creepy stories.
