Author Biography
Marcia E. Kelley has been in a long-term love affair with the written word and has been writing since she could hold a pencil. Her devotion to her craft has spurred her on to earn two Bachelor's degrees from the University of Kansas, one in Journalism and the other in English. The idea for this book was born from a desire to help people who are navigating a transition to college - either for themselves or for their children. College students need practical, real-world advice on how to find the potential threats and weigh the risk factors at each of the colleges they are considering before they make a final decision. Ms. Kelley discovered a need for this type of book when helping her two sons choose their colleges. Her vast experience as a technical writer and her passion for helping people led her to share what she learned in this timely, easy to read guide for both parents and students alike. An avid reader herself, Ms. Kelley enjoys a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction topics, and is a resident of Texas.
