Spirit Walker, a collection of poems and drawings, written over forty-five years ago, is the story of my own finding - a story of how my redeemed soul got crushed out of its complacency, time and time again. As faltering and humiliating as my journey has been, it ends up being a success story, a story of a heroine who could be anyone of us - man, woman or child - it doesn't matter, just so long as each of us does our soul work.

Standing in nobody else's vulnerability but my own, I now can say: "There is a Voice inside my poems, the voice of a traveller who has journeyed far into the self and who knows from experience the dreadful kind of insanity one must pass through in order to arrive at the clearing of one's mind, free and safe from harm."By sharing my poetic thoughts and artistic drawings, I hope that you, the reader, will be led to your own discovery - that there is a new you waiting to proclaim itself, a you that will no longer hide behind the wear and tear of a society that would have you be something other than who you are, a you that will go on proclaiming itself in truth and integrity for the rest of your days!About the Author: For the last 33 years, Eileen Curteis, a Sister of Saint Ann has been involved in the Reiki Healing Ministry, a revered eastern healing art that she combines with her Christian heritage of healing. A former teacher, principal and educator for 27 years, Eileen shares that her greatest passion now lies in her healing ministry and in the literary arts. She has authored seventeen books to date and has become an accomplished poet, artist, and writer, as well as being a producer of seven CDs and three films. She lives in Victoria, BC.
