Author Biography
Born and raised on Long Island, Lara Strong has always had a great love and appreciation of local history and culture. Her writing has appeared in The Long Island Historical Journal; Wilderness House Literary Review; Brain, Child Magazine; and Literary Mama. While writing this novel, she worked closely with Unkechaug elder Mary Treadwell and received the full support of the Archival Committee of the Unkechaug Nation Development Corporation.
