As part of our work on producing homeschool physical science textbooks for older teenagers, this is the first of our physics units. The units are designed to support the work of the Mountain Word Academy with homeschooling families, co-operatives, and consortia.This unit textbook on sound and music addresses the use of sounds in the Bible. The unit works as an way of illustrating sound waves, using vibrating strings, and vibrating air in hollow tubes; i.e. string and wind instruments.The author acknowledges the influence of the old English physics curriculum, known as Salter-Horner Physics. This use and process led course, while designed for a secular audience, seems inherently appropriate for a biblically-based science education series.
