Product Description

by Gregory J. V. Harris (Author)

Fourteen-year-old Tim Hughes is struggling to adjust to life in foster care where he is bullied at his new school and lives in the shadow of his football-star foster brother. When he discovers an intriguing packet of letters between a young Confederate soldier and his wife, apparently stashed by the soldier as he tried to avoid capture, he takes on a new and life-changing challenge--to find their identities and learn their story. Based on actual battles and events of the War, the story brings history to life portraying the struggle to survive both on the battlefield and the home-front. "Somewhere Down the Line" is a coming of age historical novel that chronicles Tim's journey and the timeless lessons learned from a husband and wife whose lives become intertwined with his nearly a hundred and fifty years after their deaths.
