Product Description

by Jim V. Isbell (Author)

Sojourn - Memories & Reflections is a personal memoir revealing how the sovereign hand of God uses ordinary people to accomplish His Kingdom purposes. Born in a small rural village in Illinois, the author recounts key episodes from his life, including reflections of God's role in transforming him into a man He could use in ministry. Jim's path was not paved with sunshine, and many dark episodes peppered his personal journey. However, God meant it all for good, and when closing one door, He opened another with an even greater opportunity to serve and fulfill God's calling for his life. Jim Isbell served as a Christian Biblical Counselor and a member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors for many years, in both private practice and as a prison ministry chaplain. He has Associate's Degrees from Moody Bible Institute and Wayne State University. His numerous ministerial roles include pulpit ministry, prison chaplain, Youth Farm counselor, hospital chaplain, and Peoria Rescue Mission counselor. He is married to his wife, Carolyn, celebrating over sixty years together. He enjoys his family of six children (one deceased); fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and eagerly anticipates the arrival of four more great grandchildren this year. This is Jim's first published work.
