Author Biography

After earning his B.A. in History, Paul Felten enlisted in the US Army, as an infantryman. While enlisted he earned the coveted Ranger tab and served two deployments as part of the 82nd Airborne. After his service obligation was complete he was offered an apprenticeship by Brian Pate, an expert medical device consultant helping medical device companies achieve compliance with all standards and regulations. Paul started manual testing, then began expanding to surrounding activities such as creating requirements, creating test cases, and creating test plans. Paul then taught himself test automation with Ranorex and through Ranorex, taught himself how to program in C#. He has helped clients achieve test compliance and efficiency for embedded software, desktop applications, mobile applications, cloud-hosted virtualization software, and more. Paul continues help clients with their verification needs, both manually and through test automation as Senior Validation Specialist for SoftwareCPR(R).
