Author Biography
Lorie Williams lived in tents and a dilapidated school bus as her abusive father dragged her through the U.S. and Canada. Scavenging food from commercial dumpsters, then selling it to unsuspecting Amish farmers, became the only viable business for them. All the while she survived fifteen pregnancies by her father and a workload that few people could endure. Lorie only dreamed of escape. Her father charmed the authority figures who tried to intervene or he scared them away. As Lorie shares her journey to freedom, the reader will marvel at her faith, strength, and perseverance. This is a story of the triumph of the human spirit.
