A recovering drug addict and alcoholic, he has overcome numerous obstacles in his life, including childhood ADHD, dyslexia, and Tourette's syndrome. "I don't necessarily perceive this as a book about recovery, although it could be," Revland said. "I see it more as a testament to hard work and perseverance."
