Product Description

by Carmen Pentalart (Illustrator), Leif Torres (Author)

First things first, thank you for looking at my book. This is a project done with love for my son who is on the spectrum. This book is a children's book designed to look into how a person with ASD may experience the world around them, what makes them special and what potential challenges they may have. As you may or may not know, Autism is a spectrum, meaning that children and adults who have ASD usually don't fit into a cookie cutter diagnosis or manifestation. This is just a fancy way of saying that no two people with ASD experience the world exactly the same. Don't be surprised then, if some of the things described in this book aren't the same for the ASD child you may know. The only goal for this book was to show some of things that my son has experienced or is still experiencing. I want to challenge everyone who reads this book to keep an open mind and to understand that children with ASD may seem a little different, but at their core, are still children who want to be loved and accepted for who they are. Thanks again for taking an interest in this book and if you decide to purchase it, my final hope is that you enjoy it.
