Product Description

by Deborah a. Ledet (Author), Keith F. Ledet (Illustrator)

Come explore the bayou land with a young boy who has love and gratitude for his family. Garrett loves to visit the cane fields with his Paw-Paw, and walk to the bayou to see Big Al, the alligator. Today he and his grandfather will go to the fields before dawn. And, oh, what are those shadows Garrett sees in the cane, in the dim morning sunrise?

Author Biography

"Shadows on the Bayou" is Deborah Ledet's first children's storybook. Her passion for nurturing the interest of young children has developed through the years. Her involvement with young ones spans years of teaching dance, owning a small in home daycare, and working as an elementary paraprofessional at a wonderful Christian school. Her creativity has been sparked while directing many elementary Christmas plays through the years. She is the mother of four beautiful "Ladies" and grandmother to eight grandsons and one granddaughter. It is her joy to spend time with family, creating scavenger hunts and zip lining while she still may. Her other interests include cooking, sewing and gardening. She resides with her husband, Keith, in Louisiana Cajun Country near Bayou Lafourche. Deborah is lovingly known by all as Mis' Debbie.
