Product Description

by Martin Houwelingen Van (Author)

When Richard accepts an inheritance, he finds his life is turned upside down, as what he had hoped would be a change in his boring day to day life was exactly that. The following chance meeting with a kind, but strange, old lady, who of her own volition says she believes in fairies. Slowly he is drawn into the history and folktales, of ancient Scotland, where portals to the realm of the mysterious and mystical Fae still exist for those who are willing to open their eyes to the possibility of life beyond the world we know.

Author Biography

Martin van Houwelingen is a high functioning PDD-NOS Autist, born in 1970 in Halfweg (NH), the Netherlands, lives in Amsterdam with his wife Wendy and two cats, and spends his life following the his passions of writing, drawing, photography and video/audio recording. Martin has written stories for collective series and in magazines under various pseudonyms to stay in anonymity, solemnly believing that an artist should never enter the spotlight as mixing art with money only results in lesser quality to get paid. The problem with this is that when not being named, fans will search high and low for more but will never find it in the multitude of text that is out there. And so with a heavy heart he stepped into the limelight to show people who he really is and to leave his mark for the future generation of writers, while sticking to his convictions as an artist and a writer. 'Following a life of passions is not something everyone is cut out to do. It means sleepless nights, constant distractions and mood swings, all while trying to make rent and have enough left to eat. But if you are like me, with stories bursting in your mind and you only can be truly happy when you are creating something that wasn't there before, then I say Go. Go, do, and come back when you have finished, go follow that dream to where ever it may lead.'
