Product Description

by Matthew Ellul (Author), Online Classical Guitar (Author)

Schumann wrote his famous Album for the Young in 1848 for his three young daughters. The first part of the Album is subtitled 'for the younger ones' and it consists of 18 short, beautiful pieces.
The collection is very appealing: from character pieces (such as The Happy Farmer, Soldiers' March, The Poor Orphan); to short and sweet songs (such as Spring Song, Humming Song, Hunting Song); to simpler pieces (such as Melody, A Little Piece, Little Etude). Performers and audiences are sure to be captivated.
These 18 transcriptions for guitar are especially appropriate for guitarists looking to expand their musical experience beyond the typical guitar repertoire.
All transcriptions of the Matthew Ellul Collection include standard notation with fingerings as well as full guitar tab.
Recordings are available at www.OnlineClassicalGuitar.com and on the Online Classical Guitar youtube channel.
