Author Biography

Merle C. Potter, PhD, is the author of Engineering Analysis and the co-author of The Mechanics of Fluids, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Sciences, Thermodynamics, Engineering Your Future, Differential Equations, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, and numerous exam review books. He is Professor Emeritus of mechanical engineering at Michigan State University.


Craig W. Somerton, PhD, was an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Michigan State University. His work has been published in the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering Education. He is a recipient of the SAE Ralph R. Teetor Education Award.
