Author Biography

Author, poet, and humanitarian"Shine" Michelle Thornton was born April 11, 1984, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. From an early age, she has always had her way with words. Intellectually holding conversations with people allot older than herself has caused her to view life from a different perspective. Shine has always been a well-read individual. The book "Where the Side Walk Ends", by Shel Silverstein inspired her to write poetry. Since then, her words suddenly began to make a life for themselves onto paper. She made it her mission in life to help inspire, captivate, and encourage others to embrace their own passion and follow their dreams. Shine now resides in Los Angeles, California.
