Michael has been able to see ghosts since he was five. Nobody including his parents believe him and his mother ends up sending him to a mental institution. After he gets out at 18, he gets an apartment of his own and tries his best to ignore his ability.
Four years later, Michael now is in Law school and has a beautiful girlfriend named Chloe and hasn't seen a single ghost. Until Chloe's ex-boyfriend, Paris dies from a drug overdose in South Korea. His ghost tries to convince Michael that his death was a murder and that Michael can help him solve it. Michael eventually gives in only to get rid of him but he didn't expect to fall in love with him or that Paris's murderer will stop at nothing to keep Paris's death buried.
