Product Description
A SATA 7+15P to USB 3.0 adapter cable for connecting a bare SATA hard drive or SSD directly to a computer via a USB 3.0 port. The SATA 7+15P connector combines the standard 7-pin SATA data connector with the 15-pin SATA power connector into a single plug, providing both data and bus power through one connection to 2.5" SATA drives. Available in two lengths: 0.2m (20cm) for compact setups and 0.5m (50cm) for more reach. Plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Key Features
- SATA 7+15P combined connector - the 7+15P connector delivers both SATA data (7-pin) and bus power (15-pin) in a single plug; this means no separate power cable is needed for 2.5" SATA drives, which operate within USB bus power limits; simpler connection than separate data and power cables
- USB 3.0 host interface - connects to a standard USB 3.0 Type-A port for fast data transfer; backward compatible with USB 2.0 host ports at reduced speed; suitable for data backup, recovery, and file transfer from bare SATA drives
- Two length options - 0.2m (20cm) for minimal cable run when the drive sits directly beside the laptop or desktop; 0.5m (50cm) for more flexible placement; select the length matching your typical workspace setup
- Plug-and-play, no drivers - recognised automatically by Windows, macOS, and Linux without installing drivers; the drive mounts as an external volume on connection

Usage Notes
The SATA 7+15P connector provides bus power suitable for 2.5" SATA drives only. 3.5" desktop drives require 12V external power and cannot be used with this cable. Always use the operating system eject function before physically disconnecting the drive to prevent file system errors and data loss.
