Yet during the darkest of nights a light still shines in Sarah's house because above all Sarah Aspen's story is a love story, a love story about many different kinds of love: romantic love, love for life and family, love for country and a valley where ordinary men and women must meet the extraordinary challenges posed by their place in history. Sarah's story holds many surprises. Author Biography
Monika Bilby came to the United States as a young bride. Born and raised in Germany, she has successfully completed her examina for Lehrer an Realschulen at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and she has earned a PhD in English Language and Literature at the University of Maryland. As an educator she spent a good part of her career teaching literature and writing courses to high-school and college students.
