The Poet gave the impression of being so romantic in his feelings and emotions. He merged himself with the beauteous hills, forests, birds, mountains, rivers and seas around him and expressed his feelings of happiness and pain as if he is a part of the nature by being a true lover. The philosophy of universal equality of mankind reflects very much on the center theme of his poems. He urged to all mankind to amalgamate the differences and hindrances that exist in the religion and society and bring them at one confluence of equality. As he wrote, wisdom of equality lies in the heart, not in the scriptures of religions.
Author Biography
Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam is the national Poet of Bangladesh. He was born on 25th May, 1899 in Churulia, West Bengal and died in Dhaka, Bangladesh on August 29, 1976 at the age of 77. He published more than forty books on poetry, lyrics, short stories, novels, essays and dramas. An unknown disease made him sick all on a sudden at the age of forty three (9th July 1942). That disease ceased his power of speech and caused him to suffer from an intense memory loss. He lost his touch with the totality of the universe around him. He was like a reticent saint in meditation.
