As the search unfolds, Frank continues to find himself one step behind Rose, but is regaled with enchanting stories of islanders who encountered her. Through the stories, Frank becomes more and more smitten by this stranger, who seems to sprinkle a little magic wherever she goes.
As the clock ticks on, Frank is losing hope that he'll find Rose before it's too late. However, what keeps him going are the continual signs everywhere that the universe is aligning and carving a path for the two of them to meet up again-if only he can find her before she leaves Turtle Island forever!
