Product Description

by Jane Blackall (Editor), Louise Baumberg (Author)

This book presents the texts of theme talks given in 2022 and 2023 at the annual Hucklow Summer School: a week-long Unitarian gathering for spiritual and personal development, held at The Nightingale Centre in Great Hucklow, Derbyshire.

In 2022 the theme was Right Relationship: Practising Love, Peace, and Justice in Everyday Life. Nine contributors (congregational ministers and lay people) presented ways of nurturing authentic relationships with oneself, with others, with the Earth, and with God. In 2023 the chosen theme was Real Life: Telling the Truth of our Lived Experience, and a single contributor (Louise Baumberg) led participants in an exploration of what it means for us to be truly real, and how we can make space for others to do likewise.

Each chapter ends with questions for reflection and discussion, to encourage congregations to set up small groups to explore the themes more deeply.
